MorphologyDorsal spines(total): 12; Dorsal soft rays(total): 20-22; Analspines: 3; Analsoft rays: 18-19. Series of yellow dots, running at diagonal lines over the sides. A black band extending from caudal peduncle along bases of dorsal and anal fins (Ref. 48636).
BiologyInhabit coastal reefs, primarily on rubble slopes (Ref. 9710). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Adults usually swim in pairs in search of small benthic invertebrates (Ref. 48636).
